Posted: 1/27/05 at 7:22pmI agree with sfs and keggs. You are obnoxious and considering that before this you have an icon on Dracula, I think I can assume that you and the majority of people have different tastes.

Yes, THE BRONX is a borough of New York City. Good job.
Ok it's time for Bronx to make a seriosu post.
sfs, that comment is like saying Michael Moore has bad politics because of his hair cut. I understand you though. If you can't refute the argument, find something else to make of. You know what the problem with most of you people on this board is? You treat art like it's politics. You can fight someone's opinion about policy and you may be right. But there is no such thing as right or wrong when is comes to whether a show is good or bad. So what if I liked the 2000 SUPERSTAR or DRACULA, THE MUSICAL? Havn't you all had the "what is art?" talk in your PHIL classes? When it comes to personal taste there is NO argument. Art is in the eye of the beholder. Individual to individual. You can teach someone that INTO THE WOODS is a more deep and complex show than STARLIGHT EXPRESS, but what you CANNOT do is say that one is definitively superior than the other on those or any grounds. If I may overanalyze more, most of you guys make yourselves dictators or theatre snobs technically the minute you say, "this show is such or this show sucks." (I've probably done it but I'm aware.)

Posted: 1/27/05 at 7:42pmJust like you Bronx I'm stating my artistic opinion. 2000 Superstar= Awful. Sutton=Brilliance. It's funny that the majority agrees with me.

Bronx-
Just to be clear, I am not starting an argument because I don't agree with you, whether I agree with you or not is beside the point. You are an individual and you are absolutely entitled to your own opinion, that is what makes theater in general so great. One show, performer, etc. can spark a myriad of different interpretations. I am only pointing out that you do not have to be so unbelievably smug and condescending when stating your opinion. Instead of focusing on your opinion, people are going to only hear your overall tone (and you come off as an a**) instead of someone simply sharing their opinion.

fyi- It's borough, not bureau. Don't want any confusion!

Posted: 1/28/05 at 4:59pmI do think I'm funny. I was also hesitant to accept her a human being after hearing the sound she created on the website. I am cool with her now. It's name is Sutton Foster. No quotes. lol
