There are those who love it, there are those who hate it, and then there are the shills. I'm asking for everyone's opinion. Do you think Brooklyn should have started off Broadway and then transfer to, say, the Helen Hayes after Golda closes? This is just an example of a small theater. What are your thoughts??? The concept of GOLDA closing and BKLYN following it is...just...arrrggh.
i think if the creators were more creative, they could have pulled this off under the Brooklyn Bridge! LOL
NO. BKLYN is BROADWAY and it will stay BROADWAY for a long time
Oh. Okay then. And you know this because...
now, rath!!! tiny is one of the lesser-obnoxious brooklyn fans...
Because i'm a BKLYN fan.
And we will keep this show open for a long time.
haha.. joeyjoe... she(?he?) broke it..
Joey, where is your other half today?

Off-Broadway is a great start for shows that don't cost mega-millions of dollars (a la Wicked), or shows that are transfers from other countries (Mamma Mia). Opening Brooklyn off-Broadway first probably would have been a good idea
he's busy sending off his announcements... apparently hotmail is being difficult with him
All day? From work? I've had to hold up this board by myself today!!
rath, yes, he's been cutting and pasting 300 addresses all afternoon... hotmail won't let him cut and past the list into the BCC line... because the addresses aren't in his contact list, i think hotmail assumes it's spam and won't allow it...
I don't think that it should matter. If it's a good show it should be able to play anywhere. I spend money to see Off-Broadway as well as to see Broadway and I expect them both to give me the proper bang for the buck. If it's not going to work on Broadway because the script might be bad then going Off-Broadway is not going to make the script any better.

i think it should have opened off broadway merely for the intimacy factor. i have a hard time seeing this show doing well with a thousand seat venue. the 250 seat theater in denver was perfect, and i'd say 450 is probably big for this show. i'm a fan of the show, but i think the venue choice might be a mistake.
Tiny, do you work for "Brooklyn?" What are they paying you?
The Distinctive Baritone that's the last time im going to say this:
I'M
A
BROOKLYN
FAN
DEAL
WITH
IT
.
No... it cannot open @ the Helen Hayes... because the Helen Hayes is going to be home to the next great show, which will not be named for sounding unshill-like.... but some of you know what im talking about!

Yea, I was wondering about that when *he* said it. I didn't want to mention that Jackie Mason already has it booked.
But AFTER Jackie Mason, works just as well.
