Anyone going tomorrow? I didn't take vacation...I'm calling out sick...that way if it rains I can still go lol.
Anyways, did anyone hear anything about who will be there tomorrow, preferably with Drowsy Chaperone? Also, do you guys think it'll rain tomorrow? It looks like rain...it didn't come yesterday even though it looked like it, so now I'm worried...
EDIT: I just saw the official Bryant Park performance thread...I mistakenly read it as 2006 official Broadway performance thread. Oh well, if someone could answer that'll be awesome.
EDIT 2: I changed the title of the thread...look at my post on page 2 for a song list.
Bump...and does anyone know if it's cancelled tmrw? It just rained like a b*tch here in CT...

Really can't tell you anything, except it's raining here in NY also.
Check Bryant Parks website tomorrow for cancellation information.

They are pretty good about updating it with information like that.
I'm going! Hope it isn't cancelled because of the rain!
I believe I read that Bob Martin will be there.
Sarah Litzinger from BatB will be there. And, that's really all I know.
Sutton Foster, please come. I've wanted to meet her since the TMM days!
Here's hoping that she is there, and that you get to meet her. She's awesome.
So if it's cancelled tomorrow I'll be angry...then I'm gonna go another week that they move Drowsy to.
I read that Bob Martin will be performing. If so, Sutton will not be there. I really wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.
Why would Sutton not be there if Bob Martin is? That doesn't make sense. If the answer is because they won't have two big stars perform together...well there's a chance Beth Leavel will be there...

Leah Hocking will be there for Mamma Mia I read.
Great! I missed her in All Shook Up...I believe she was out on vacation or something, and I saw Jenny Lynn Suckling (who was great).

I believe Jenny Lynn Suckling is now Jenny Lynn Spencer (married to J. Robert Spencer), but I could be wrong.
Do they cancel the night before if it rains?
bump
last thursday the lawn was roped off bc it had rained significantly the day before and the lawn had "to dry", so there were seats all around the lawn. That was when it wasn't raining, but had rained the day before. If it rains tmw during the schedule performance, that might be another thing. Maybe if they put a tent over the stage it would be okay? I'd think all the mics and such would be a hazard if it was raining.

www.bryantpark.org says the lawn is closed
In the past, they have both cancelled and gone on with the show when this happened.
Don't know what they are going to do today.
I tried calling 106.7FM but their offices are closed until 9am, so I doubt we'll know anything before then.
The radio station updates their site pretty well the morning of if the show will be cancelled. Keep an eye on www.1067litefm.com. It's really hard to say what they'll do. If it's raining by late morning, they'll cancel. They've never done a tent or anything. But if it holds out and it's just a matter of the rain on the lawn, they'll rope off the lawn and people can watch from the front, perimeters and back.
"I believe Jenny Lynn Suckling is now Jenny Lynn Spencer (married to J. Robert Spencer), but I could be wrong."
Yes she is married to J. Robert Spencer.
Can someone please tell me if it's cancelled? I need to catch a train at 940! The website says the lawn is closed but nothing about cancelling the show.
Well it's not raining now, but does look like it could. It's a chance you'll have to take. HOPE
Shoot...cuz I have to call into work sick.
Since so much goes into each show, they try to get it in unless it's impossible. They usually wait til later in the morning to make a decision....unless it's raining straight through the morning and it's a total washout.
If it helps you out it says "The lawn is resting after the rain."
Whatever the hell resting means, it's doing that.
I would take that as, "we didn't cancel, and we're praying it doesn't downpour between now and showtime."
