Bug

Did anyone see this?

One of my friends said it was fantastically scary and a brilliantly executed production.

I think Margo is the resident "Bug" expert.

re: Bug

I loved it -- naturalistic, film-style acting, Chicago-style excess in a claustrophobic setting with creeped out paranoic direction -- the entire experience makes you want to scratch yourself incessantly and take a shower afterwards. A terrific production.

re: Bug

When I saw BUG the lead actor's hair caught fire. He handled it so well, I thought it was part of the show. Margo advised me otherwise.

re: Bug

Well that's fun. As long as my hair doesn't catch fire...

Has anyone seen the new cast of "Bug"?

re: Bug

A friend of mine, Troy West, just joined the cast and I'm seeing it Wednesday. I understand the new cast were all from the Chicago production a couple of years back. I'll let ya know what I think.

re: Bug

Thanks, I am curious. I loved Kate Buddeke in "Gypsy", she was a hoot as Mazeppa, just wondering if she can pull off "Bug".

re: Bug

Buddeke actually played the role in "Bug" in the Chicago production.

re: Bug

My aunt's colleague directed Bug.
I think he teaches at the DePaul Theatre School in Chicago.

re: Bug

" A hallucinatory tale of pests and paranoia, BUG is a dark comedy exploring themes of isolation and delusion. AGNES (Cochran), a scrappy, drug-addled woman is laying low in an Oklahoma City motel to avoid her ex-husband GOSS who is on early release from prison. His arrival spells trouble when he discovers that Agnes has forged a new relationship with an enigmatic younger man named PETER (Shannon). In this psycho-thriller, residents of this spooky motel are visited by mysterious strangers, haunted by events from their pasts, and attacked by bugs."
