Donkey needs to do hip-hop. We've got a guy at work who likes hip-hop and is a *lot* like Donkey. But then, I don't suppose amusing a handful of booksellers in the UK's West Country is really what's going through anyone's mind...

Posted: 1/13/07 at 10:39amThe thing that perplexes me about this venture (beyond the terribly essential WHY WOULD THEY DO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE?) is... well, why *are* they doing this? It's not going to reap the untold kazillions the movies did; it's not even going to come close. The upfront investment isnt something Dreamworks can afford right now. Shrek III will bring more financial interest back to the original movie than this will. It just seems, from a business POV, kind of a stupid move.

(sigh) why is this show happening? i mean really...
I am however interested in how the casting will be done for this show. And maybe it will end up being good, who knows? As of right now, I'm not so sure.

Both Chamberlain and Fogler were unavailable. They were not seen and rejected. Chamberlain has an upcoming tv series and Fogler is signed for atleast four films.
I think if either had been available, there would not be an open call.
