I'm saying that I think befriending performers you don't personally know and aren't really friends with to come post what they say here is akin to stalking.

Sometimes actors will allow fans to friend them, and that is their choice. Often, they use it as a resource to announce shows/events they will do.

Just take the things you are reading on their Facebook pages with a grain of salt. Maybe they aren't lying, but something like an official press release or news article would be more reliable. For example, what if plans changed?

Speaking of people stalking performers, the people that post on Alice Ripley's status updates act like their her best friend, it is quite strange. And yes I did friend Alice Ripley, but that is just cause I enjoy her (how to put this) "interesting" posts. I have never commented on her status, and probably won't ever.
