Petkoff in CAMELOT? Wish I had some excuse to be in Houston.
I'll be reviewing it for BroadwayWorld. I also have an interview with Tony Sheldon scheduled. Keep your eyes on houston.broadwayworld.com.
Wish Houston was closer to NYC would live to see Petkoff as King Arthur. His Tateh in Ragtime remains one of my favorite portrayals.

Petkoff reminds me of a young Alfred Drake. And his Tateh was an extraordinary performance, I thought - his duet with Noll was heart-breaking.
My interview with Tony Sheldon is now live...
BWW Interviews: Tony Sheldon Talks Career Post PRISCILLA, TUTS' CAMELOT, and Performing in Houston
It's interesting if TUTS is doing a version of CAMELOT that doesn't have Morgan Le Fey. Nimue, the nymph, is the role that lures Merlyn away, singing 'Follow Me', in some productions they leave out Morgan entirely and just let Nimue take the entire enchantment storyline.
When getting properties like this one, it seems to me that TUTS often tries to recreate a similar experience to the original Broadway production. In my research for the interview, I discovered that Morgan Le Fey was cut during the Broadway run to make the 2nd act more serious. So, I was curious if TUTS was going to do the version that originally opened on Broadway or the altered book that happened during the Broadway run. Judging from the answer I got, it seems that the altered book is what TUTS is presenting. Yet, the answer wasn't wholly confirming that either. Maybe Tony Sheldon could not fully spill on that detail?
My review for CAMELOT is live.
There was no Morgan Le Fey. Nimue had a brief part in the first act. The primary villian in the second act was Mordred.
Run time was about 2 hours 40 minutes, which includes a 15 minute intermission.
