Jarethan, it's hard to gauge what shows the first stringer at the NY Times will cover, but often when they have first praised a show, as Brantely did when 39 STEPS first opened, they will follow the career of the show in New York. Yes, I thought the theatre at Union Square was a much better fit in size and history than the other venues. Great casting and the director, Maria Aitken, is a master at the clean delivery of physical comedy in her troupe, with Arnie Burton, Billy Carter, Robert Petkoff and the young member Brittany Vicars all doing superb dialect work and characterizations.

I wouldn't think that between shows on a matinee day he would leave the theatre. It's a 2 hour and 50 minute play and the turn around time before the next show is pretty short. You might have more luck being there after the evening show. Enjoy the show!

Yes. There is a very short walk they've gated off from the stage door to his car and the street is nuts. He is stopping and saying hello to people, but in the freezing cold weather after a 3 hour show in previews, you can believe it is very few people he can actually chat up or sign things for. ALL THE WAY was a great night of theatre for myself, my niece and friend. Now this is inspired casting! Several folks who saw the Boston run thought Reed Birney was good but this will be an interesting mix. Saw Petkoff's Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet at Chicago Shakespeare some years back and thought he was terrific. This show is shaping up to be a great cast of TV and stage actors. John McMartin, Michael McKean and Bryan Cranston, with Cranston nominated for a Golden Globe today for Breaking Bad.
