I'm pretty sure they said cash only.
Just a warning:
The seats are a VERY OBSTRUCTED VIEW.

Posted: 3/11/08 at 2:20pmso would you say the rush tickets are worth it, or should I go for another discount?

If you can afford it, I'd say use a discount code and get a full view seat.
The view from the rush seats are awful. You miss two thirds of what goes on on stage.

Posted: 3/11/08 at 2:25pmha, that second option is looking better, since I...apparently can't buy other tickets.

Posted: 3/11/08 at 4:00pmHow obstructed are we talking about. I am normally not one that is botherd by this sorot of thing. I have sat in obstructed view for Les Miserables at the Broadhurst but then again a lot of the major scenens were blocked to take place center stage.

Speaking from personal experience, WannaBe?
From what I've heard and seen, the left seats are a lot better than the right seats because the bar is set up on stage left. I was seating on the left orchestra and had obstructed viewing but not as bad as those seating on the right. I missed Terrence Howard towel entrance

Just got from seeing CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF tonight with student rush tickets
Heads up: They put you in the first five rows of the orchestra far-right or far-left.
My friend and I were Orchestra Row E Seats 20 and 22. Our view of the stage was about 15% blocked by an on-stage liquor-bar and partition which blocks up-stage-left and part of the bed.
There are 3 Acts and 2 intermissions
We moved to excellent center-orchestra seats after Act 1. I don't advocate moving seats (but I don't object either!) Therefore, if you DO get student rush tickets, keep your eyes peeled just before the lights go down AND right after the lights go up after Act 1 to spot open seats to move to.
VERY ENJOYABLE PRODUCTION
Specifically, Anika Noni Rose and James Earl Jones hit it out of the park. Stunning performances. I, personally, forgot that I was watching a "black only" show. Honestly, the script lends itself to ANY good actor.

Thanks for lovely thoughts, Eug!
I just bought primo seats for June 11. - C-ORCH / BB / 107-108. Very, very much excited to see this show, and wish the lovely Anika Noni Rose the best before the TONYs.
