I immediately thought In The Heights was closing when I saw the announcement. I guess it could go into the Niel Simon, I mean Shaiman and Wittman have a little bit of a soft spot for that theater!!
On another note, I am surprised Sister Act hasn't made an official announcement as to which theater it is playing in.

Sister Act announcement will come soon. At this point the Broadway is the only theater they can fit into.
I hope Heights transfers either Off Broadway or another theater. I have a strong emotional attachment to that show.

Sister Act would fit in many theaters , but not saying your wrong Drunk Chita Rivera and suspect I can see where your logic might come from.
The production in London is big, because The theater that houses it (The Palladium), has a big stage, but surely they build the production to fit the stage it is going to.

When I first saw the article I thought Neil Simon. Not only because there has been some speculation on here that that is where it would go. But, I think that Love Never Dies going to Broadway right now is something nothing short of a dream. Yet, I do find it interesting to point out that on the listing of shows and their respective theatres on playbill.com (and this was even prior to the press release of Catch Me coming to Broadway) it said that Love Never Dies is slated for The Neil Simon. Wonderland, is going into the Marquis, Catch Me is listed as TBA and Sister Act is listed as TBA as well.

Posted: 9/20/10 at 9:41pmI mean, just by the look of things, In the Heights doesn't need to close just yet. CMIYC is taking the Simon and Sister Act has the Broadway, right? Besides, I could see that garish turkey Million Dollar Quartet finally closing at the Nederlander before ITH.

Just because I want London to have it

Why do you think ITH will go off-Broadway?
It's not a small intimate show like AVENUE Q - There is a cast of 26 and 12 in the band.
How could a show with that large a company sustain any kind of run off-Broadway?

Posted: 9/21/10 at 12:47pmWell they already managed it before they moved to Broadway. Plus not every role is needed. They'll probably thin out the ensemble.

ClapYo'Hands, What does In the Heights closing have anything to do with a London run? One doesn't need to close to mound another production.
Also, while I do assume that it is possible to thin out the ensemble to make more room for an off Broadway run. Let me ask this question. Why does it seem that every successful Broadway show MUST close and move off Broadway. Yes, I do know that it started out with Avenue Q and it worked for Avenue Q. But, that does not mean that other shows have to follow.

Other than the fact that it already has?

frontrowcentre2, it STARTED off-Broadway..
I am SO excited for this show. I have the most recent demo recording with the Seattle cast, and I can not stop listening to it! Especially, Breaking All the Rules and all of NLB's songs. AMAZING score and cast. I'm sure Norbert will be back, aswell as Tom Wopat. I don't know much about Aaron, though. I don't think Kerry Butler will be back. I follow her on twitter and she just started rehearsals for some new show. Of course, I could be wrong.

Posted: 9/21/10 at 7:28pmOverkill, she's in a show in NYMF :) so she will be free for it and I would be surprised if she didn't come back with CMIYC, but I would LOVE for her to get recast. I know Autumn Hurlbert was close to getting the role, so I would LOVE for her to be involved :)

Okay, well that's good. But having not seen the show and basing it off the demo, isn't it a bit of a small role for her?
I don't know about Addams Family closing that soon. It's stll doing well enough and Nathan and Bebe won't be leaving until March, correct? I think they're going to try to keep it going after they leave.

Posted: 9/21/10 at 8:19pmThe Addams Family is slowing going into it's demise - I highly doubt those producers would try to gamble keeping that show open with the horrible reviews after it's stars left (which sounds like one of the main reasons people are going to see it still).
