so I was just wondering the current shape of the current tour of Cats is like. it's coming to my area next year I know it has been non-equ for quite some time but the tour coming next year looks equity?

If you're asking about the quality of the tour....I saw it in February. It was a fine production, the cast was decent, sets looked fine, good orchestra. Cats just isn't my thing.

If you're seeing the Troika tour it's non equity, but they do a pretty good job of keeping the cast consistently solid. The set is inflated, but it looks pretty good when lit. It just looks better from a distance so front row seats are not ideal. The show is missing the "Pekes and Pollicles" number, but it's not a major loss. The song is also missing on the majority of the cast recordings so most people who haven't seen the show dozens of times don't even notice it's absence.

I LOVE Pekes & Pollicles why in sam-hill would they cut it??!!?!?

Well, it's one of my favorite moments in the show too, and I'm not exactly sure why they cut it, other than it being a huge load off the costume department, but they did and the original creators don't seem to have issues with it. I'm glad the show is still touring even if it is minus one.
