It's ONE of the best - but when you're competing with UMich, CMU, BoCo, NYU, etc - nobody can really say who THE best is.

Ok, so here's my opinion on CCM.
There is no doubt that it is one of the top musical theatre programs in the nation. They are turning out some fabulous alumni (Shoshana Bean anyone?) and they obviously know what they are teaching. That being said, I personally have issue with cut programs, and I do have a friend who went there who is now thinking of leaving after one year. She feels like the program is SO cut throat that she isn't growing the way she is supposed to because she is afraid to take risks, and that among the students there is a lot of drama and backstabbing. But, it is a GREAT program with a GREAT reputation and GREAT alumni.
My two cents.
I was accepted as a transfer musical theatre major for the fall and I wanted to know what was the opinion of the school.
So you...are transferring. But you don't know anyone's take on the school?
I know all about the school and I am very pleased that I am attending, I think that it is a great school for me. I was just trying to see what the opinion of this message board was.
I see. Well, the thread suggested is a great start, and by most members that are aware of this college, it's highly respected.
You should be extremely happy you're accepted. That means you're CRAZY talented!
Thank you, I'm excited. Are there any CCM students or grads that could tell me more about the program?
