I can rule out the Podunk, BTW. I think you'll be pleased, madlibrarian. I picked up the master tapes today and sent them off to my mastering engineer.

What is kind of sad is that the Broadway Angel releases generally had nice photos and good liner notes and sometimes an interesting, new interview with someone from the show. The DRG releases usually just repeat the original liner notes, yes? That has a certain historical interest, but for Capitol titles, I think Broadway Angel's releases are preferable to DRG's.
I agree. Since I have a complete set of all 40 Broadway Angel releases I have not obtained the DRG re-releases (though I wouldn't mind getting SAIL AWAY just to get teh bonus disc of Coward's recordings.)
Packaging is important to me and I liked the booklets Angel included with most of their releases. (The West End Angel series were less impressive.)
And I say complaints about high prices for out-of-print rarities are out of place here.
I'm not complaining - just advising people not to pay top dollar for out-of-print titles.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
I second the "When will Road Show get released?" question. Maybe April?

You are forgiven, frontrowcentre2... bk: that mastering engineer must do quick work if you are releasing the CD next month!

If the tapes sound good, it will be pretty easy. The booklet is being worked on as we speak.
Any other reissues coming down the pike?
I want mah Donnybrook!
