Yep...I realize this is off-topic, but when I bought my Grey Gardens ticket, the matinee was wrapping up and I got to hear Winter in a Summer Town. The Ushers were all excited that they nailed some harmony or something, it was funny.

I was there to buy the CD today (I went at intermission but they didn't have the guy in the lobby...oh well).

I saw a crap load of people listening to the show from the lobby, their ears pressed to the doors to hear the Act I finale. Management didn't care at all.

Is it possible to buy it from the box office? Has anyone tried?

I was afraid they were going to chase me out, but it was literally the last "somebody crowd me with love..." on. So I got to hear him belt out the ending and then took off. It didn't dawn on me that I was going to be able to hear the show, so I was a little stunned when I got in there, shivering from the cold, and heard the music. I just sort of stood there for a second, probably looking vaguely dumbfounded until the guy with the CD's asked me what I needed.

I don't think they'll let you buy it from the box office.

Incidentally, the C.D. sold out after the Saturday evening show, but they're supposed to be restocked by tomorrow's 7 p.m. curtain!
