The closing having been extended, we wait for an announcement that Second Stage has the transaction has been concluded. The word from Second Stage was that they would have the money in place, but we know how that goes. To my knowledge there has been no official word since the court hearing.

why don't the owners just put in a play while we are waiting?? Such a waste of a theatre right now!

Kind of a good question but it's complicated. they thought they would be out of the picture by now.

I think naming has the power of creating a visual image--desired or un-. Witness the former Phoenix Open Golf Tournament, which got title sponsorship from Waste Management , Inc. The tournament is now billed everywhere as the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Always makes me picture a portapot by the 18th hole.
