Just looked at the latest Bway grosses - Chitty was #3 in the important gross column. Taking in over $1,000,000. only behind Wicked and Lion King. This is great news for those of us who believe a show can still exist without Tony Awards and the blessings of some over discussed critics. I wish the best to all the Bway shows as there should be shows for many tastes.

great news... glad it's picking up speed (sorry)
*claps* Wonderful!
there's a poster on the stage door side of the Hilton that just has Raúl on it smiling and looking incredibly adorable... I wish one of those Broadway stores sold that poster... I want it bad... *sigh*
I want it so badly. But not the one on the stage door side; on the box office size, there's a full body shot. You know what's funny, though? The color is fading out of the one on the stage door side (I work a block away, so I always pass it) and it looks like he's going grey. Not good!
Yay!! That's exciting.
I hope I get to see it and I hope I enjoy it!
do you pass it everyday? we probably saw each other. I was staying at the carter... which I had no idea was right next to the Hilton stage door, but it was a nice surprise... I felt compelled to explain to Raúl that I was staying there and not stalking him...
Yeah, the stage door is literally in my direct path from work to the subway. One day, I'll need to explain to him that I work a block away and I'm not stalking him. Between coming, going, lunch and errands, I go by there like three or four times a day. I'm bound to run into him at some point.
Very good news, indeed!
I saw it. It was enjoyable, though the entire time I was waiting for that car to fly, and oh was it amazing when it did

wow. i have to say that i'm REALLY surprised at everyone's reaction to Chitty's high grosses. I've gotten the feeling from the beginning that everyone was waiting for Chitty to fail, or expecting it to fail.
So, yay for my show (well, where i work) doing well and people being happy!
IT SHALL NOT FAIL!!
heh. I'm not really sure what I can do to that effect, but you know. Fly on!

I love that picture especially becuase his hair is so long. And, I'm not really sure I would mind him with grey hair!
