Classic Stage Company, one of the most valuable theaters in NYC (in my opinion), has announced their upcoming season:
Orlando by Sarah Ruhl, adapted from Virginia Woolf
Three Sisters with Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Mamie Gummer, Josh Hamilton, Roberta Maxwell, directed by Austin Pendelton
Double Falsehood, billed as Shakespeare's long lost play, directed by Brian Kulik in a chamber, minimalist production
School for Lies, an adaptation of The Misanthrope by David Ives, directed by Walter Bobbie
Unnatural Acts, conceived and directed by Tony Speciale, a retelling of a true story involving a secret court at Harvard to determine what's taking place in Perkins Hall, Room 28.
That looks like a really solid season.
SO glad to see Austin Pendleton taking on Chekhov again. His production of UNCLE VANYA left the Broadway production of THE SEAGULL choking in the dust.
