who delights you by wearing his big, brassy heart on his sleeve & you end up adoring him. Saw this last night & loved it.
Evokes, but not imitates the 50's in its music, sentiments, costumes, choreography, etc. Very, very strong performances all around. And of course, I could just eat Noah Racey with a spoon, he's so talented & good lookin'.
A fun ride.

I'll be there tomorrow night as well! This will be the 3rd time I'm seeing it in NY. I saw it 3 times in L.A. and I'm seeing it at least two times more after tomorrow night. I think I'm hopelessly addicted!

I was lucky enough to see Curtains on opening night and really enjoyed myself.
I didn't want to start a new thread so I decided to post my question here. Does anyone know if David Hyde Pierce has been coming out to sign autographs after Saturday matinees?
I would love to frame my ticket and playbill with his signiture on it, but I didn't think it was appropriate to go to the stage door after opening night. Thanks for any help.

Eh, he said on his Broadway.com interview that he loves coming out after the show and seeing/hearing everyone's reactions, so I take that as he does come out the stage door.
Yay for more Noah Racey love.
I need to get to the city already to see this...but I suppose it'll be worth the wait so I can see both Curtains and Lovemusik (and Legally Blonde, I guess).

I wish I could have seen him in Never Gonna Dance. I know it was allegedely pretty bad, but it sounds like the kind of show that'd be right up my alley. (Swing Time is one of my Top 5 favorite movies). And I've read that while Noah's acting wasn't very good, he had some great dance numbers. I would've loved to it!

You have never seen dancing like Noah did in NGD.
Never.
Oh, and that Ziemba chick wasn't bad either.

Yes! Another reason I wish I could have seen it.
And from what I've read her performance was one of the few good things in the show.

You heard right. She was fantastic! During rehearsals, they added in a big dance number for her which was an exciting moment in the show.
The best number in the show was a number in Grand Central Station (I Won't Dance), with some of the most unbelievable dancing you've ever seen. Noah is a wonder.

It's a shame he doesn't get to really show off in Curtains. Don't get me wrong, he's great but is it too much to ask for a his own showcase number? Well, yes, it would be...it's an ensemble show and you can only have so many "showcase" numbers. Which reminds me...could Megan Sikora have a shot at a nominaion in the featured actress category?

I know. When I watch him in CURTAINS, I can tell that he wants to break out as much as we want him to. He's just champing at the bit to do more and more and more.
In another year, Megan could be nominated, but this year is just too crowded. She's great though - I enjoy her performance a lot.

In the video interviews on Broadway.com she said something about this role being the first to really showcase her talents. (And one that I think will leand to more great roles for her in the future!)

She probably hasn't had a chance to do gymnastics on a New York stage.
Just a guess.
