I am in new york form the 31st October, im from London.
First things.... any good Halloween parties? We don't really celebrate Halloween in UK.
Second... Im obviously going to see lots of shows in Town, but are there any cabarets, solo performers doing shows, live lounges etc on during that week, or great cabaret venues to check out?
Thanks- I know you are the best people to ask :)

MASQUERADE BALL
A special Halloween edition of The After Party
Wednesday, October 31, 9pm
NEW YORK - The Laurie Beechman Theatre is pleased to announce our first ever Masquerade Ball, a special Halloween edition of The After Party. In celebration of Halloween, come dressed to the hilt or dress as you, yourself and I for an evening of fun and frivolity. Hosted by The After Party’s Brandon Cutrell with Ray Fellman at the piano, there is no cover charge and no minimum for this event, and you might even win something for best costume. Come and sing something scary (or something from a “scary” musical), as the mic is always open, or sit back and haunt the folks at your table. The scary shots flow freely.
We’re also pleased to announce that our special guests for this thrilling and chilling evening will include Lisa Howard from Silence! The Musical, Justin Patterson from Young Frankenstein, Kristy Cates from Wicked (Chicago Elphaba) and Sal Piro, President of the Rocky Horror International Hall of Fame.
The After Party, now going strong it’s second year, is billed as “a weekly schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined.” Every Friday from 10:30 pm until the wee hours, pros from Broadway and aspiring stars alike belt it out on the stage of The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
Doors open at 9pm. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within The West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd St. (@9th Ave), in the heart of New York’s theatre district.
Dress up or dress down, up to you. Lots of candy and spooky smoke abound.
