Hello All,
As some of you may know, Jose' and I have taken turns with the duty of listing theatre-related CD's in the "upcoming cds" section here on Rob's wonderful web site. Well, at the present time, there is a major drought of upcoming releases to list. The Phantom soundtrack and The Woman In White cast recording are out and there's not much in the pipeline (Yes, I have listed Brooklyn.
).
Soooo.....I thought I would ask if anyone here on the board knows of any interesting cds that are scheduled to be released in the near future, such as cast recordings, re-issues, solo recordings, compilations, or anything that might be of interest to our community of Broadway fans. If so, please post your suggestion(s) on this thread. Remember, it should something to be released in the future, not something already released. If you click on "upcoming cds" and then click on "view recent releases," you can get an idea of the types of cds I've been including. Thanks in advance for your help!

How about Wonderful Town's reissue with Brooke Shields and Jennifer Hope Wills?
Thanks, MusicMan, that is incredible. Millie, I can't tell if your serious. If there is such a plan, please post a link if you can. Thanks.
No, it is true. Playbill reported that Brooke Shields will get a cast album.
Don't know if cabaret performances are 'eligible' but I'm very excited about Natalie Douglas' soon-to-be released CD, "To Nina - Live At Birdland" , a recording of her sizzling Nina Simone tribute concert. My friend Marc & I were at Birdland in August for it (we had seen Natalie's Nina show a few times, but wanted to see Natalies debut at Birdland) and we agreed that Natalie had NEVER sounded better than that night - what a treat to find out that it was recorded!!!

Great site, Humberto.
I'm looking forward to A Christmas Carole and Bkyln (never thought I'd say that... lol)
MasterLcZ, that's perfect--anything of interest to fans of live performance. I don't see anything about the CD on her web site. Please send me a link if/when you see anything about a pending release. Thanks.
ChrisLovesShows: No joke.

Stephen Schwartz has called Tim 'one of the freshest and most melodic' songwriters in town, and 'Purpose of Love' is an incredible compilation of his pop and theater songs. It's got Broadway pros like Brian Lane Green, Jessica Hendy, Capathia Jenkins, Trent Armand Kendall and Alix Korey, as well as MAC Award-winning cabaret stars Tom Andersen, Scott Coulter and Baby Jane Dexter.
My faves: Korey is a riot belting 'My Favorite Note' (which is an E flat, and hits about 10 of them). Andersen does a funny country ditty about driving someone crazy with love, and Hendy sings one of the most beautiful ballads you'll hear this year.
