Can You Tell Me Anything About John Cudia?

Well, chances are pretty good that John Cudia might come visit our school and give a talk... maybe sing a little. So, can anyone here who's seen him perform tell me what they think of him? I've read some interviews with him and seen some video clips from the Phantom website, but none with him singing or performing. He seems like a nice guy, and I think it'd be pretty cool to meet a guy who played both the Phantom and Jean Valjean.

He was my first Raoul in Phantom on Broadway and I really liked him a lot! He's not my favorite Raoul (that goes to Michael Shawn Lewis) but he's definitely my second fave. I've not see him as the Phantom "live" but from what I have seen and heard I enjoy him more in that role. He is a really nice voice and his stage presence I feel works better for the Phantom role than Raoul. I also enjoyed what I saw of his Jean Valjean but the video I saw was from when he was in the run on Broadway I haven't really heard the most recent concert he did. But yeah, I do like him.

You can find clips of him on "that site" doing the Phantom and Jean Valjean from a recent Chicago-area production of Les Miz. He's up for a Jeff Award for that peformance, although a friend who saw it said that while he sang the role beautifully his acting was very wooden. I have never seen him live so I have no personal opinion.

I've seen John a couple of times as the Phantom and also as Valjean in Les Mis regionally last spring; I think he's fantastic. He is also a very nice guy, I hope he is able to come visit your school - don't think you will be disappointed!

He was my first Phantom and he's great! He has a wonderful voice; that sounds like an awesome opportunity!
