Can someone help with the timing of a trip? Sept or Nov?

I'm looking to come up for a long weekend either the last weekend of September or the first weekend of November.
I'm hoping to see 'Rock of Ages', 'Hair' and a hockey game for the hubby if there is one. The Rangers schedule is not posted yet and I have no idea how far in advance they schedule games. I'm also really hoping the Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig show will be open. Will 'Gods of Carnage' still be running or is it limited?
Will any of the original casts still be in these shows or will I be seeing a replacement cast if I wait until late September to come up? Any new news about the opening preview date for the Hugh play?
Thanks in advance for your help. Michelle

However, they are breaking for the summer (no performances) from July 27-September 8. I believe the whole original cast is set to come back after the summer break, which was created to accomodate their other obligations.

Thank you, as you can tell I'm not too familiar with hockey schedules. And being in FL, well the TB Lightning is here, lol..
I'm totally distracted every time Adam Lambert's video promo pops on the upper right of this page. Damn he's pretty!
Also, is anything new opening around November that I need to put on my must see list? Thanks

Both ROA and HAIR should still have their original casts as contracts are traditionally for a full year.

Posted: 6/23/09 at 3:55pmWeather wise September in NY is great but you will not see any hockey. Depending on the week you come you can run into some crazy crowds and traffic paterns because of the UN's opening schedule during that month. The start of November is a little better if looking for hockey but as you get closer to Thanksgiving you start to run into the Holiday crowds and hassles, weather starts to go a little south too.

Thanks everyone, it's appearing that early November might be best to try and do everything. I'm very excited to see Gavin and Will in Hair, which combined with the possibility of Hugh and Daniel, sounds like a spectacular eye candy trip. Hence why I need to go to a hockey game
It will likely still be very warm in FL, so the cooler weather will be nice.
