Can you exchange Hedwig tickets?

I have tickets for a March show, that were originally supposed to be for near the end of JCM's run. But now he's extended through April 26th, which just so happens to be my birthday month.

So, I'd rather go then, but I'm wondering if it's possible to exchange my tix through either Telecharge or at the Belasco directly? Before I got a long phone call with customer service, I thought I'd ask if anyone here had any knowledge or experience with that.

I'm sure I could also just sell them online too and buy the dates in April that work better for me, but I'd rather keep it all as neat/streamlined as I possibly can...

Assume you bought these through Telecharge. I have done this several times and never had a problem although they don't have to exchange. They have always een very accommodating making the exchange. Good luck!

I have had experience doing this a half dozen times. I have never had a problem with telecharge, they have always been great about it. It is much easier to exchange tickets within the same show rather than try and get a refund and use the money to buy tickets to a different show. Since you are just asking to switch the date for tickets within the same show, it should be easy.

Typically what happens is you call and say you would like to exchange the date of the show for a different date. They will say that they have to call the box office of that particular theater, and that then they can issue you a full refund and assist you over the phone in picking out new seats on the new date of your choosing. They will put you on hold while they call the Belasco box office to authorize a refund, and then they will get back on the phone and assist you in picking out the new date and seats.

Have the new date and the specific seats that you want ready to give them, it should take about 10 minutes in total. I am sure you are probably the 20th or 30th person to call and request a date exchange for Hedwig since the extension announcement.

Also provided it's the same seating and price they will often just do a date switch without having to go through the refund/rebuy process

I didn't change a date but I had purchased 1 ticket for the last perfs of Pippin thru Telecharge. I was in the last row of the Orch-row P. It was the best they had. Then a couple of days before the perfs they had Row B of the Orch. I called them up and they refunded the first purchase and charged me for the new 2nd row purchase. Very easy and quick!
