I was in row X for my viewing last night and saw everything fine. Of course since I was under the overhang I didn't see him launch/land on the upper platforms. For the fight scene over the audience with the Green Goblin I saw everything fine. In fact I thought maybe I would only be 2 or 3 rows ahead in maybe Row T or Row U then it would be optimal for not having to look directly up or have them over my head.
When I went several months ago I was in Row E on the aisle right where he lands and at no time did I ever feel that I was in danger. Just my personal opinion. Realistically you are probably in more danger standing on the sidewalk here in NYC.
Go and enjoy - I think you will be fine. There is flying but not so much that it will impact your enjoyment even if you are under the mezz.

I would say yes to side over center orchestra. However, I would rather sit further back in the orchestra as I previous explained probably right under the overhang or right in front of it.
