Re: Ethan Hawke to lead tour of THE LONG CHRISTMAS DINNER

Oct 9, 2026 — 10:25:11 PM

A bit misleading of a thread title, as it sounds like less of a tour and more like productions and/or readings around the country with different casts and Ethan Hawke is in the New York cast. Or am I just misunderstanding?

Re: BCEFA FLEA MARKET 2026 Collectors Unite

I just stopped by and it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. No wait to get in. Inside was crowded but by no means overwhelming or claustrophobic, and I don't love crowds. They had some air going so it wasn't stifling hot with the crowd either.

Re: Sorry Betsy Wolfe, My Least Favorite Audrey Ever

WILD ROSE musical at NYTW

All that Yazz said: "im not a fan of the playwright though - I once read an interview with him and he talked about how he spends his VAST AMOUNT of his time writing even at the detriment of his relationships. I don’t think he’s good enough. Let the Right One in was twaddle and Hurry Pitter wasn’t Worth and Peaceanywho, maybe I’m just jealous this is NY bound and not UK bound (get me)"Very much not the same playwright as those plays.

Laurie Metcalf/Joe Mantello Play This Season

Sep 9, 2026 — 8:55:32 AM

Montauk is already announced as Laura Linney and Daniel Sullivan, not Metcalf and Mantello.I would guess it's whatever the "unannounced Broadway play" that had an audition notice out recently with a role for a woman in their 60's with an offer out.

The final scene takes place on a diagonal strip of carpet that none can seem to get off of making for interactions I assume the director thought would be funny but was painful to watch. This is by no stretch of the imagination a comedy because there’s nothing funny nor jokes."In a night of baffling choices, this was perhaps the most bizarre. Where were the...

Downstate Premiering on Broadway this Fall?

Jul 14, 2026 — 4:12:34 PM

Except I imagine it's a new production and not a transfer, considering the new director.I thought this show was fantastic at Playwrights Horizons, but I just do not see this filling a Broadway house during the winter holidays. A Christmas show for the tourist crowd this is not.

Paddington Al Hirschfeld March 2027

TheGingerBreadMan said: "Makes sense, Kad. I figured if a small limited run with minimal needs wanted to do a run for the holidays, maybe Mid-October to Jan 3rd, it would be possible. But you’re right, it’s probably too tight and wouldn’t be feasible for anything."Celebrity Autobiography is looking for a new home.
