Rosie was a bigger star than Harvey. (Golde is considered a supporting role).

Although it wasn't "stunt casting" in terms of her being a mainstream celebrity, many were shocked when Patti LuPone played Fantine in the original West End production of LES MIS due to her prior success.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
