I just had a quick question. About two weeks ago I was in NYC and I saw the show Wicked. We my mom aunt, and I ended up waiting in the cancelation line for around five hours. Now I'm thankful I got to see wicked, great show and I got great seats but I was wondering if anyone elese has waited in a cancelation line and for how long, and what show. How long before the show are the box office people supposed to give out the tickets? It was like 10 maybe 15 min before the show that we got the tickets.
That isn't something I'd do ever again but I really wanted to see the show. Any thoughts would be nice. Thanks for your time.

I did it for Wicked and lived to regret it. A waste of time and money.
I waited about an hour.

Posted: 7/27/06 at 12:14amI did it for Pajama Game. I got there at 8:30. I was about 25th in line. The box office opened at 10 and I got a ticket in the 5th row mezzanine at 10:40.

Usually only 10 at most are given out and they range from right when the box office opens until right before show time. People tend to line up for cancellation line after rush and SRO and usually get there 2-3 hours before the box office opens.
