I guess last night's show was her final one before taking her leave of absence to do Once Around The Sun. Is that right? If so, did she go on as Mark's Mom or was she on as Maureen or Mimi? Just curious.

If Once Around the Sun doesn't take off, I don't see why she wouldn't return to RENT...I would like to see her in something new.

Posted: 7/15/05 at 12:51pmApparently she's said this is only a leave of absence ("for a few months"), and that she is planning on returning to Rent. If it is only a few months, that means she'll be coming back sometime in October or November... right around the time Karmine is leaving.

Someone showed me a video of her at the XL gig and I fell in love with her. A hot girl that can sing like that. I think I have found my beloved. I am such a sucker for hot belter girls.

Caren is leaving to do Once around teh sun but will be back in three months. karmine leaves to return to being a swing in October, so maybe Caren is going to be full time Mimi .... which would be excellent.
I am in the middle of doing an official website for Caren and will keep you all updated.

Link Larkin Wanabe if you're a sucker for hot belter girls then you should most def. check out Antonique Smith at XL on the 18th or the 25th if you can!!! She's an AMAZING singer and loves to belt during a few of the songs she sings and she sounds unbelievable (sp?) she takes the song "All By Myself" to a whole new level, I've NEVER heard anyone sing that song the way she does!!! (She was my first Mimi in RENT)
