So, I'm taking this as she's leaving Mamma Mia? Oh well, change is good. She has been with that show for at least a year now. Maybe longer.

I'll miss Carey in Mamma Mia, but I can't wait to see her as Kate Monster. She'll be wonderful!

Sometime in the fall I would guess.
I do know someone from the tour is replacing her as Sophie on Broadway.

Oh wow, a new Kate Monster already?? I thought that Sarah Stiles had JUST started in that role a few months ago. Or is Cary going to be in the tour?

Carey is joining the Broadway company because Sarah Stiles will be leaving to do Vanities. I don't know exact dates, but I believe it will be this summer sometime.

Good for Carey! She has an amazing voice and has been in Mamma Mia forever. Glad to see her doing something new.

Carey is going into the show in July sometime near the 10th or 12th. She is leaving Mamma Mia on 6/1.

hmm carrie M is taking over, i didnt think she was that great of a sophie. ... ITs soo time for a MAMA MIA wash and bring in a whole new cast that want to be there every night and love sing abba. I went the other night and i love me some carolee and judy... but girl, is time to move along

I saw the show two weeks ago and thought Carolee and Julie were still fantastic. Some of the other cast members looked like they needed to move on, but Carolee and Judy were still "on" (and Carolee's The Winner Takes it All was worth the price of admission).

They will turn the cast over most likely in October this year.

Adam, who is the Julie you were referring to. Were you thinking of judy McLane. I saw the show on 4/30 and the whole cast was great including the understudies for Sam and Harry.
