I can't seem to find confirmation of Carol attending but I seem to recall someone on the board saying she wanted to attend. Can anyone weigh in?
As I understand it, due to health reasons, neither she nor Jerry Herman will attend opening night.

When I last spoke to Carol, she wasn't planning to attend the opening because wanted the evening to belong to Bette. "It's her role now and let her enjoy every minute of it." She does plan on seeing the show at some point in the future.
I also spoke to Jerry and he's just lost his desire to travel. He's just happy to get reports about how wonderful this new production is. I do think he'll eventually make the trip up here to see "his baby"

"I believe they will at some point...don't miss it Carol & Jerry!
Hi Guys. Testing, Testing...my account. I haven't posted in some time. HI, Dollypop, Deena!
If I were one of the producers of the telecast, I'd try to get Carol Channing to introduce Hello, Dolly! on this year's Tony Awards.
Both Carol and Jerry.

The producers should fly the cast out to their homes on their day off. With sets, lights, costumes and orchestra.

This would fill me with enough joy to last me until next year's Tony Awards.

Clearly they need to arrive by train....
I wonder if there has ever been (or someday might be) a reunion of all the better-known ladies and gentlemen who have played Dolly Levi? It would be fun to see them together on one stage. Sadly, so many of them have passed on.

Far too many if them have passed on to make such a reunion viable.
I hope we do get to see some good media coverage of opening night. Scott Rudin has kept everything tight. Shouldn't we have gotten some official production shots by now?
