Anyone else find it odd that Carousel has a 3pm matinee today? Any reason for this odd scheduling?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Also the Broadway League Road Conference is this week and all the road presenters (most of whom are Tony Voters) are in town, so it gives them a chance to squeeze in another show.
Very odd scheduling. Plus it's listed on the show's website. Usually Actor's Fund performance don't get advertised as a general public performance, but Carousel has.

Both of the Rudin Actors Fund shows this week are primarily for Road Conference attendees to fit in an additional show this week, not the traditional methodology of letting other performers see the show, so they are advertising as a general-public show to try and get the room full
