Did anyone see this show? What did you guys think?
Just got back from seeing it.
It is a fun show. Nothing great shakes but good way to pass the time. Their is some audience involvement so avoid the first few rows if you are not into it.
It's a wonderful show. Fisher is simply hilarious, and she knows how to command the stage like a pro. She also manages to draw the audience in to the point that you feel you are sharing a night at her hectic household, listening to old stories about her and her family. Her wit never fails to surprise me, and her stories are all wonderful. The audience interaction works quite well and it only adds to the show's fun and wit. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a fun night at the theatre.
I just saw this wondrous woman perform Wishful Drinking last night, and I must say, I don't believe I've ever laughed as much as I did last evening. Carrie Fisher is truly a powerhouse and she held my attention throughout the entire show. It just so happened to be her birthday as well, which was a surprise to me and many of the audience. She got a rousing (if somewhat off-key and out of sync) "Happy Birthday" from the audience during her curtain call, and she announced that she was very happy to be sharing her birthday with a Broadway audience and doing her show.
I would recommend this show to anyone, and like many have said before, you don't need to know all that much about Carrie Fisher's life - she explains everything you need to know! So run, wheel, or skip to Studio 54 for this great show!

I also really enjoyed the show when I saw it. It's not revolutionary theatre, but it was a really fun two hours.
