Carrie is the Elphaba standby for Marcie on the 2nd National Tour of Wicked and I was wondering if anyone knows if she has gone on at all this tour?
I saw it tonight and she was on and I wasn't sure if this was her first time or not. I saw Marcie on the 13th and I must say I am in LOVE with Carrie. She was PHENOMENAL! Seriously, her riffs were SPOTLESS and for being such a small girl, she was a huge powerhouse. Did anyone catch her in Mamma Mia? thoughts?
Also, is she the shortest Elphaba? She is 5'2' and it was so funny to see such a short Elphaba.. but she was phenomenal. I really don't know what else to say! SO GOOD! Anyway, if anyone could answer my questions, I would love to know! Thanks!
She went on for half a show before. I can't wait to hear Anne Brummel go on.
She went on today, actually. And she is going on again June 16 through the 21. Now that I can no longer see Natalie Weiss, Carrie would be the only person playing Elphaba I'd actually go back and see the show again for.
Was today a planned day for her to be on or did something happen to Marcie?
It could have been any number of things. I have no idea if it was this one performance or several but Marcie probably didn't feel well and took tonight off. Usually when an understudy or stand-by performs in multiple performances, they are planned. If it's one or two, it's probably not planned.

Nice post Pianolin. I think Carre's gone on several times since the 2nd tour started, but not too often.
She's got some nice videos on you-tube though.
her first full show was on April 12th I believe in Birmingham. For some reason Natalie Weiss and Anne Brummel were both on my playbill from there. Has this happened before when there was 1 standby and 2 understudies for Elphaba?

No, as I understand it Anne was injured before the 2nd tour opened and Natalie was brought in to replace her while she recovered. Natalie left when Anne came back, but for some reason they were both listed. Maybe they just didn't know exactly when Anne was returning, or maybe it was too expensive to print a separate program just for one cast change. I'm not sure.
Did you see one of them in Wicked?
