Not only was Debbie Allen the choreographer, but several of the dancers were "Fame" alumni. Gene Anthony Ray (?) played the John Travolta part.
Actually watching the show "Fame," I would see the "numbers" that the students were staging and wonder what type of show would those kids end up doing? (I mean, you never saw them tap-dancing or doing ballet.)
The show that they would end up doing would be "Carrie".
Does anyone know if the song "Unsuspected Hearts" has ever been published? I mean, what with the "Side Show" girls having sung it, you would think that other people would want to sing it.
As much as I would enjoy having this show revived - it would never work.
A "correct" staging would destroy everything that made Carrie CARRIE.

I think a concert would be better. But it would have to be a bit of a run, because so many would want to come.

What, like being able to spell???????
All of those quotes are great, but my favorite line of the show is still, "Sh*t! Look at all these pigs!"
