I'm planning to buy a couple of tickets for this if any are still available. However, I've been wondering about the cast...
Hopefully Brenda Braxton is not playing Velma again. I love her, but I've seen her twice now in the role.
Cast list, anyone?

Luba Mason is Velma and fabulous.
Charlotte D'Amboise is back to Roxie. You couldn't see anyone better.

Luba is playing Velma on Broadway not the tour. And I dont know that Id go so far as to call her fabulous.
Your tour Velma will be Terra MacLeod, opposite (Mindy) Paige Davis as Roxie. Terra is a strong Velma, very capable and enjoyable onstage. Paige.... well I could have taken her or left her. I didnt feel strongly about her in the role either way, although she did have some enjoyable bits during her performance.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...

Frankly, if you miss it, it won't be a huge deal.
Now if you were missing Michelle DeJean as Roxie..... well, that'd just be a travesty! She's incredible, but leaving the tour.

I'm glad there appears to be a contrast between the two (Roxie and Velma) similar to the one in the film.
There isn't nearly enough discussion of Chicago on this board...

That's cause the show is old like WHOA lol
And since I quit caring, really (well the way I used to) and posting certain things, a lot goes unnoticed.

Also, Terra and Paige played opposite each other for a few months on Broadway last summer (not this past summer). Though, when I saw Paige, it was opposite Roxane Carrasco's Velma.

Well I can't say it's an awful thing that people aren't talking about it more. Just means it's a show we can see it without getting into a brawl over it afterward (although admittedly, I did have a friendship or two end over Chicago back when the film was big).
Can't wait to see Terra. She's very Zeta-Jonesish.
