NONE! haha, regardless of how bad a show is, I'm such a completist I want a recording of it. I do have a couple of recordings I will NEVER put in the CD player again, EVER! one comes to mind: PLAIN AND FANCY!

Every reording of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat except for the OBC and the Canada Cast.

Ha! How about the OBC and CSR recordings of Les Miz? I don't even know where I put them anymore.

I think the new ACL recording kind of sucks. I don’t expect a cast recording to have the same energy level as a live show, but really the recording makes me feel lethargic.

PLAIN & FANCY has one of the most beautiful ballads from the Golden Age: "Young and Foolish". Also, Barbara Cook's songs are well worth listening to.

The Original Broadway Cast album of MY FAIR LADY was recorded in Mono, whereas the Original London Cast was recorded in Stereo. There are subtle differences in performance, as well. And "On the Street Where You Live" is sung by different actors. I have both, but personally prefer the Mono version.

NICK & NORA(1991), a truly terrible show, did not need to be recorded.

I really wish they had put 3penny on disc. It's damn near impossible to find a modern version of the show on cd since the Raul Julia one is OOP.

I wish Dude, Via Galactica, Rainbow and Rockabye Hamlet had been put on disc as well....mostly because I'm a sadist.

Although I'm grateful to have it (for historical reasons) I must say the cast album of the 1970s musical BOY MEETS BOY is probably the worst I have ever heard. The synethesizers are disastrous for a musical that aims for 1930s sophistication, and the vocals are unbelievably flat, strained, and tinny.

umm so my answer is BKLYN....that show should have just gone quietly into the night. Now it just screeches into every preteen queens cd player.

Well, because my best friends' little nephew loved How the Grinch Stole Christmas, I wish they would make an album for it, but they most likely won't. So he'll just have to keep trying to remember all the words. =)

wow thats pretty deep...did ya get that off a bumper sticker?

As a collector of OBC recordings, I'm always looking for ones I've missed along the way. I recently found an OBC of the 1954 production of "By the Beautiful Sea" starring Shirley Booth. It is truly awful.

I just want some more revival recordings,
they never seem to get made.

Maybe I'm just sick of it, because I live near Nappanee, IN, where they apparently got the idea for the musical, and a regional theatre called Amish Acres does it EVERY YEAR!! Ack! enough Plain and Fancy already!

DUDE has been recorded (to everyone's sorrow.) I don't know if it was a studio recording or an OBC (nor did I care after trying to listen to the title track) but Nell Carter performed on it.

GEORGY is another pop-sixties score with mind-bendingly atrocious lyrics, but I'm glad it was recorded--otherwise I would never have heard these immortal couplets:

How'd ya do and where's your monkey do?
How'd ya do, how'd ya do--ooh!

I'm a goat and you're my doggy-do.
How'd ya do, how'd ya do--ooh!

In a yellow sky, you know the sun is blue.
So how'd ya do, how'd ya do-do?

Anyone care to explain those?

This question doesn't even make sense.

If you don't like it, don't listen to it. Where's the thread on which movies you wish they didn't make, which shows you wish they didn't produce, which books you wish they hadn't written?
