Former Miss Black Arizona CeCe Peniston who had a huge hit with "Finally" in the early 90s recently auditioned for Bill Condon for the Dreamgirls movie. I heard it on the radio during an interview with her on the very popular, "Wendy Williams Experience." She said she hadnt heard anything yet though from the producers.

CeCe is an amazing singer (Inside that I Cried being her best song)...I would love to see her in Dreamgirls....and if not, i would LOVE to see her in a show.

I've heard her sing a couple of times. Not really my genre, but I can definitely see her in this movie, both on the caliber of "looks" and voice.

She's certainly a talent, but isn't she a bit long in the tooth to play Effie?

I didn't even think about her! I think she could handle it. And remember, back in the 50's and 60's those girls in those groups looked older than their actual ages.

she has ALWAYS looked old. "Finally" was a big hit when she was 21 but she looked a lot older. it was scary.
