I once wrote to Ima Castro who was playing Kim in the UK tour of Saigon complimenting her performance. She wrote me a really lovely letter back.. quite long too! It was filled with inspiration and advice on the buisness, and she sent me autographs from the principal players... she was really lovely!

I've only used e-mail communication, but I've gotten responses the few times I've done it.

I e-mailed Mr Rapp's secretary and she wrote back lol.
Tim Curry, Gary Beach, and Stephen Oremus , with SASE's, all sent back playbills, signed to me :)

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

The only one I've received at this point is a short little bit from Gregory Jbara. re: Celebrity Responses!

I've written letters to Michelle Federer and Stephanie D'Abruzzo and have gotten letters/photos back from both... very nice of them. Stephanie took the extra effort to send me an Ave Q Playbill in addition to a signed photo, because I mentioned I lived in CA and probably wouldn't get to see the show...so very sweet of her!

I also emailed Susan Egan the day after I saw her in concert and she wrote back a couple of days later... She has got to be the most down-to-earth 'celebrity'... ever!

I think she meant Adam Rapp? That would make more sense.

Nope, Anthony Rapp.
If you email the www.anthonyrapp.com email (the one where you ask about booking him for a gig or something)..Maybe that's his agent? It's someone who handles his schedule..

I wrote Gary Beach and he sent back a signed Playbill (which is currently framed over my bed... shut up- that's a big deal for me). Haven't worked up the nerve to write to anyone else, yet.

I've written to Stephanie J. Block back and forth for the last couple of weeks via e-mail. I've written to Idina's fanmail a couple of times, but no response.

I've gotten a response from these people:

Email
-Jeffrey Carlson (many times)
-Cheyenne Jackson
-Max von Essen
-Asa Somers
-Juliana Ashley Hansen
-Ryan Link

Letters
-Michelle Federer (a few letters)
-Gavin Creel (got a very sweet card within a week)

The only person I've ever not gotten something back from is Sutton Foster, but I hear that she writes back a lot, so maybe my letter got lost in the mail.

6. "Pass the parcel. That's sometimes all you can do. Take it, feel it and pass it on. Not for me, not for you, but for someone, somewhere, one day. Pass it on, boys. That's the game I want you to learn. Pass it on." -The History Boys

I get about one letter a week from WING. The problem is she writes them in Japanese and I've yet to find a translator. (I'm thinking of auctioning them off on Ebay).
