Cerveris' Assistant in Advil Commercial?

Is that Micahel Cerveris' assistant Meghan in a new Advil commercial? Where she's walking in high heels and trips on a cobblestone street? At the end she's sitting on a couch looking upward at the camera.

She is an actress as well, so it's definitely possible.

Michael's assistant was with him at most performances of Sweeney, and spent the time after the last performance taking photos of the crowd at the stage door.

She's with him at the stage door almost every single night (or she was, damn these past tenses) and she has a memorable face so it's not like you have to be a stalker to remember her.

She's in an Advil commercial now? That chick is going places, lol...

she's a beautiful girl. from the few times i had seen her when i was at the theatre, i had just assumed she was his girlfriend. then at the bowery when she was introduced, i realized that she was actually his assistant.

and hey, commercials are a place to start - good for her.

No, I didn't mean it like I thought that the fact she was doing commercials sucked, I meant it as 'Wow. She really is going places'.

It's just so random, I don't know anything about her except the fact that she's Michael's assistant and she knows a lot about his dog Gibson, lol, so to hear that she's also doing stuff like producing gigs and working as an actress surprised me.

I thought that to, that or maybe his sister or cousin. I don't think I found out she was his assistant until maybe when those Tony photos that the stars took with the digital cameras were published.

I can understand why you'd think she was his girlfriend. My friend went to the show and was sitting in front of Michael's brother and Meghan stood in the aisle talking (rather loudly) over people to him. She was saying she and Michael were driving somewhere after the show and they couldn't drink and did the brother want their six packs. Then she was outside saying repeating that offer to other cast members and friends. If she is dating him, she's not be very discreet about it. My friend said she heard her very clearly both in the theatre and outside, and that was over the commotion at the stage door.

I know Cerveris is a God in here, but in the real world is his "fame" in need of an assistant? Im not being a smartass,I'm just curious how he needs an assistant to manage his life. I could see Lupone having one, or Bernadette..? Again, not being a smartass, just curious what she does on a full time basis, keeping in mind that I am sure his manager and agent handle contracts and all the other business matters.

I don't know here, but I'd imagine much of her job entailed being a Gibson-wrangler. And I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that she also assisted the rest of the cast, even though she was primarily Michael's assistant...But I know what you mean. I wouldn't think of Michael Cerveris as having much need of a personal assistant.

i actually applied for the job when it was posted on playbill last year. they didn't specify who it was for, so there was a post on here speculating, and names like patti and julia roberts were thrown around...no one came up with michael until someone whose friend interviewed solved the big mystery.

i'm sure it's a great job, but i wonder what happens when the show the actor is in closes...it must be almost as uncertain of a job as being an actor, unless the actor is going right into something new.

Thank God I never saw that post, lol.

I wouldn't have imagined that Michael would've been able to employ someone full time either. And he's got a dog walker too, so I think Meghan does more Gibson-entertaining than she does Gibson-wrangling.

That's some excellent disposable income he's got. Eh, who would've thunk it?

I believe that the assistant position was hired through Richard Frankel Productions, not directly through Michael, so I don't think disposable income has much to do with it, Rev. With that being said, to whoever mentioned the job security being as sketchy as being the actual actor, I'd imagine she might just as easily go back into the Richard Frankel pool (and potentially serve as an assistant to someone else in one of their shows) as she would have to rely on Michael's next gig being right around the bend/still needing an assistant.

That was the idea, kids. I applied for that job too, and interviewed. I was neither young enough nor beautiful enough to be his trophy assistant. Which worked out, because I'm not the type of assistant who wants to pretend I am. And, the hours were ridiculous.

But wow - she is gorgeous. I'd hire her too!

Yes, she was hired through Richard Frankel productions, and it was a position strictly for Sweeney. Now that it has closed, she is no longer his assistant.

Oh, thank christ someone said this. I've been dying to touch on this. He brings his assistant with him everywhere. That way he can show up to whatever gig he's doing and leave with a pretty girl on his arm. I'm sorry, but that's pathetic.

Geez, it's not like she did nothing. She worked harder than anyone on the Bowery concert, and was pretty much in charge of it.

And unless I'm mistaken, none of us really know in detail exactly what her job entailed. I mean whatever else you may want to speculate about, it's not fair to speculate that anyone doesn't work hard if you don't really know.
