Did anyone see Mean Girls tonight (Tuesday 12/11)?
Allegedly phase one of changes from the national tour were implemented into the show.

I was at the show last night. Here are some changes off of the top of my head (that may or may not be identical to the tour's). That being said, if I forgot something or it's slightly off, please don't be quick to shoot me down. I didn't even know changes were being implemented tonight and it's not like I was taking notes =)
• In 'Cautionary Tale', after the line, "You can't buy integrity, at the mall it's not for sale," Damian says now says "true" instead of "nice."
• Cady's whole introduction to the class after 'It Roars' is different. Instead of the "Kansas/Kenya" bit, it's now Arkansaw/Africa, Mr. Duvall takes a shot at oddly-spelt modern names, and Cady tries to introduce herself but instead gets cut off by two boys that simultaneously say, "No one cares," "Take your top off!"
• Right before 'Where Do You Belong,' the girl that calls Cady weird no longer looks in the mirror for a few seconds before walking off-stage.
• The birthday cake line in 'Where Do You Belong' has been replaced with a one-liner about a Lifetime movie, and, "If they don't win, their parents ground them," has been replaced with, "But neither team would take me, so they can bite me." During Damian's dance break, he screams out, "Big mistake, dance team!"
• In 'Meet the Plastics,' Karen's "On Wednesdays we wear pink" line is now sung an octave lower. The line that all three plastics usually sing together immediately after (same words) has been cut.
• Mrs. George's prop after 'Apex Predator' is now an oversized cocktail glass, so obviously the dog bits are no longer in. A line is now, "It's been such a long time since we've gotten new meat in our little lady cocktail," as opposed to "lady taco."
• Coach Carr is no longer in 'Whose House is This'. (Or if he is, I just didn't notice him around or hear Karen yell, "Hey is that Coach Carr?" or something of the like)
• In Cady's room, as Aaron begins to stand up (before 'More is Always Better', instead of, "No, sit boy, sit!" she now says, "No sit down I'm amazing!"
• When Karen's talking about the rule of twos, while she does mention Coach Carr's open marriage, she doesn't talk about leaving the parking lot immediately.
• Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but when Damian says, "She doesn't even go here!", he used to be next to the bleachers on the right and then turn around immediately. Now, he actually climbs the bleachers on the left to say his line and then ducks back down.
And then just music cues/background music in general. Usually pretty minimal.
Really, none of the changes were big. Some were funnier in my opinion, some fell flat. For the record, the tour version of 'Fearless' isn't used.
[Edited because I noticed some grammar/punctuation mistakes and couldn't help myself. But the darn smiley face won't go away.]

Most of those are from the tour.
Stars is different on tour too where Janis ends up on the platform with Cady and sings a few lines with her before Cady falls backwards. Damian joins Janis after the fall back and dances with her.
The biggest one they are supposedly doing is the change with Fearless where there is no tray dance and the ending is different.

A change I noticed in the tour: the whole scene with Aaron distracting Coach Carr so the Mathletes can sneak into spring fling is totally cut. I think they go right from the competition to the dance.

Its Miss Norbury that does the distracting on tour. Saying they are all afraid of her since she was arrested for drugs.

YES! So they completely skip over the scene on Broadway where Aaron does the distracting but also isn't the part where Coach Carr confiscates Rachel Hamiltons inhaler cut, too? I just remember not hearing that line when I saw the tour....

Having seen the show on Broadway and many times here on tour in Cincinnati, these are definitely the tour changes. However, the "lady taco" bit was for sure in the show here in Cincinnati, not "lady cocktail".

Yes, all of these changes are definitely from the tour but it intrigued me that they’re making the changes in “phases”. Thanks JuneJune for pointing out what’s been updated!
I actually like the new version of “It Roars” but can’t say I love removing Regina’s “Someone Gets Hurt” reprise at the end of Act 1. I hope that somehow stays.
I was present at the show last night.
Nearly all of the dialogue/jokes in act one now match that of the tour. There were little tweaks and cuts in act two, but for the most part it was left alone.
The only musical number altered was Where Do You Belong (one verse was tweaked, also to match the tour lyrics); It Roars, Fearless, and I See Stars (which were changed for the tour) have so far been left untouched. The cast members I spoke to made it seem like this would be it for now, however we'll see what happens in the future.
Side note, I believe the "lady cocktail" bit was just a little flub from Catherine as it was her first night.
It’s all so fascinating to me that so many things would be changed in terms of music and lyrics. Trying new jokes makes sense to me, but having seen it on Broadway almost a year ago, and having seen the tour 3x last month, the lyric and music changes don’t make that much of an impact to justify the tampering. Little things like the cake lyric are fine because a lot of people took issue with a joke out eating disorders, but the rewrites to “It Roars”, “Fearless”, and “Stars” are pretty inconsequential.
Also I don’t know why they would cut the dog bit. It was such a great sight gag and the oversized cocktail glass with “Cool Mom” written on it in rhinestones just doesn’t have the same effect.

Agree. Kind of bummed that the "...and if they don't win, their parents ground them," line is gone in Where Do You Belong?, always made me laugh.

So Coach Carr is the one ushering kids into prom on tour instead of Mr. Duvall? I find that so interesting since Duvall is barely in the show to begin with, and didn’t they combine the Mr. Heron/Mike T. and Coach Carr/Glen Coco/Math Moderator tracks all into one track on tour? I won’t be seeing the tour until June, so I’m excited to see all this myself lol.

I really dislike the changes to some of the songs, especially It Roars. I hope that remains the same on Broadway.

No problem! I'm sure I missed a few things, but the concensus seems to be that these are all tour changes anyway (which I haven't seen or read up on). The only tour change I know ahout is "Fearless", and I have to agree, it just won't have as much bite without the "Someone Gets Hurt" reprise.

I saw the tour this weekend and noticed the changes from the cast recording, I haven’t seen it in nyc. I noticed it especially in It Roars-but I really like those lyrics better for Cady! I think the parents’ dialogue there is changed a little as well.
Does anyone know if there’s a way to get the new/tour lyrics?
I was also in a workshop with Gaelen and Sarah plus Emily the AMD over the weekend and they acknowledged that all the changes made for your would be incorporated into Broadway by the end of April (this year ‘20).
