Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/31/26

I wish we got to see Jackie Hoffman do more broadway. She was very funny in Celeb.

"Warriors" the musical coming to Broadway

Does anyone know who is rumored to be producing this?

Jeffery Seller?

DEATH BECOMES HER To Close on Broadway June 28, 2026

I imagine her/her management was asking for more due to the offer of Beaches out of town (which started not long after the tour launched) and they saw the road to originatingon Broadway vs replacing? Total guess on my part.

Tomorrow is the listed opening... I guess we'll see reviews?

Ah I don’t know why I thought it was tonight lol.

Is this getting reviews tonight?

TITANÍQUE Reviews

Concur that Boroff is an excellent reporter and he hardly, if ever, misses. I have been reading him for a few years now.

I also heard about these issues when they were going down internally last year but didn't realize the scope/severity of it.

TOMMY To Close on July 21, 2024

An audition notice went out for the tour today that indicates some, or all, of the musicians will be onstage.

On Stage Touring Musicians – The Who’s Tommy

Wonder what this means for the rest of the staging or scenic elements. From what I recall, the Broadway production didn't have anyone onstage right? Feels like an interesting shift.

It feels exactly like something Big League would produce

Beaches reviews

Financial viability aside, I’m assuming they’re hoping they can run it through the end of may to get SRC attendees in the door. The show is not getting booked unless that happens.

How (or if) they have the money to do that? Who knows.

DRAMA DESK AWARD NOMINEES 2026

Was KENREX eligible for Best Play? I feel that should have replaced something else up there.

"Fix" a musical by giving it a new team

Charlie and The Chocolate factory, with a snappy new score by Tim Minchin. Set by Derek McLane who can do some DBH/Moulin Rogue type of crazy set work to help remedy what we got in 2017.

Maybe Alex Timbers or Christopher Gatelli direct? Someone who knows all sorts of theatrical lushness and visual indulgence.

And a new book by, I don’t know, someone. Anyone.

Please.

Paddington at the Al Hirschfeld

Yeah. I am not sure it really tells us anything new except a hopeful “2027” and the name of the casting office and GM that have been signed on the show.

Negative on source material, book, set, but does praise the "hard-working cast"

"James Noone’s set (designed to stay out of the way of David Bengali’s hideous projections) is ready to pack up and hit the road. Should anyone in the touring cast fall ill, Mike Stoller’s bland score and Jennifer Rias’ choreography can be performed by most passersby within a mile of your city’s performing arts center. Tracy Christensen’s costumes can be found at Sears right now, J. Jared Janas’ wigs at the Party City next door, and even the shadiest non-union house can quickly rig up Ken Billington’s lighting designs."

That is absolutely scathing lmao

Scott Rudin reviving 42nd Street

I need this to happen so badly

Eh, the ads you are being served is (in my opinion) not really ever a good indicator of a shows performance or visibility. If you’re not seeing any billboards for it in TSQ that’s one thing, but the ads for this show are absolutely in full force - your algorithm just is

Cast recordings 2026

No word yet. I’d imagine they both will, but probably not until after awards season at this point.

THE LOST BOYS Previews

Jordan Catalano said: "corninthesky said: "Shoshana just posted on her Instagram story that she debuted a new song for Lucy tonight. Anyone have any insight?"

I love her but the last thing that show needs is another song for that character.
"

I assumed this meant they replaced Be Kind, Rewind. If you’re right…. yikes. Waiting with bated breath lol.

Paddington at the Al Hirschfeld

With this all but confirmed coming to NYC, I’d hope that we get most or all of the original cast members transferring with it.

... but, if they didn’t end up going that route … who does everyone want to see in this? Whose your dream Millicent Clyde?

THE LOST BOYS Previews

Reddit is saying the post-bows scene has been cut.

TITANÍQUE Reviews

Lol uh oh. If you sort by NEWEST all the reviews are being consolidated as show entries. Maybe they have a new team member steering the ship tonight? Haha
