Hi Folks,
Just wondering if anyone who has seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in London remembers the approximate run time (or perhaps if you are involved in rehearsals now)? I understand that it could change in the NY production, but i wanted to get a sense of whether i could see a 7pm performance and then make it to a 9:30pm show at 54 Below, or if i should just leave the whole evening for the 54 Below show. (I really wish that they would start their second shows at 10 or 10:30pm instead of 9:30pm!)
Thanks!

I saw the show in London. I can't remember the exact running time, but I doubt you would make a 9:30 starting time elsewhere following a 7:00 curtain. I'm sure the show is at least 2hrs 30 mins including intermission and assuming it starts exactly on time etc....
I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it's do-able to be honest.

Their shows don't always start at 9:30 sharp unless there's another show following. You might get a seat at the bar which would make it easier to sneak in.

I don't remember the exact London running time either...I think it was a standard 2 1/2 hour show... but being it's being majorly revamped, I doubt the run time would be exactly the same anyway.
54 Below often has three shows a night - 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 so moving the 9:30 show to later in the night would not be workable.
Regardless, I would not recommend seeing the two together unless you were prepared to arrive late at 54.
When I saw it in London, act 1 was about an hour long and act 2 is about 1:30 plus intermission and late start.
Thank you everyone for the replies! I will not try to see both in the same evening, then.
