Chasing The Dream on Britain's Got Talent.

So I have no clue how I missed these guys, but apparently a theater group auditioned on BGT. There audition was not televised for some reason on the main show. But today was there live semi final performance and well.... I guess the Judges do not like musicals. I personally thought the song was freaking awesome! I have no clue to what their backstory is other then they are a musical theater group out of England. But here is a link to their semi finals performance that they performed today.

Im actually with the judges on this one, I thought it was really cringe and cheesy, like the worst stereotype of musical theatre with a little eurovision thrown in.

I'm one of the creatives involved with "Chasing The Dream" you refer to. We're always interested in constructive feedback - good or bad - so thanks for your comments.

Presenting a two minute extract from a show for Reality TV, with a viewing audience who we were advised are predominantly not theatre goers, was quite a challenge - very much like fitting a square peg into a round hole. I could write an essay on the 'negotiations' we encountered (from song choice to production to costumes) but you could probably use your imagination!

I would encourage you to take a look at the show (as in more than 2mins of a Reality TV staged version of a song chosen by BGT!) - I can't guarantee you'll love it, but I think you may be pleasantly surprised.
