Did anyone go?
At 9 p.m. revelers will take their seats at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion for a 90-minute concert by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. An array of stars is scheduled perform, including Broadway luminary Kristin Chenoweth (now starring in "Wicked") and the tenor trio Cook, Dixon and Young. "We wanted the entertainment to be as diverse as the park itself," O'Connor said.

This was a private fundraiser held last light to celebrate the opening of Millenium Park.
It was only for the deep-pocketed funders of the park, as well as the men and women who worked on the park and their families.
Also expected to attend were Stephen Sondheim; author Scott Turow; jazz musician Ramsey Lewis and painter Ed Paschke; and the park's internationally renowned artists and architects: Frank Gehry, Anish Kapoor, Jaume Plensa and Kathryn Gustafson.
