Very cute appearance.

Yeah, that hair was very fake.

Such a good appearance, it warranted two threads.

Too bad I missed it.

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

Yeah, I don't get why she's wearing a wig either, but I really enjoyed the interview. The Aaron Sorkin part was hilarious.

Did she mention Young Frankenstein?

Not to my recollection.

leefowler: "Did she mention Young Frankenstein?"

She mentioned it in her New York Times interview. According to her, she has already signed up to play Elizabeth (Madeleine Kahn's role) in Mel Brooks' musical version of the "Young Frankenstein" slated to have a Broadway bow this October (2007).

So just out of curiosity what is the status of her relationship with Aaron Sorkin? He was her date to The Apple Tree opening night, so are they dating again?

Oh, she talks about Young Frankenstein on this weeks On Stage on NY1.

Did Letterman refer to Sorkin as "Mel Thorkelson"?

Well - she was a few streets away from her theatre, and she has long hair (extensions or a wig - I'm not sure which one) for the show. Maybe she did her hair for the show, and she just wore it that way to Letterman?

She totally cracked me up. I am/was sick in bed, and she made me laugh so hard!

So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

Just finally got around to watching this. She is just too cute and too funny. Cracks me up every time. Cracks herself up half the time too, which may be part of what makes her so funny!

"I wrote a book: "How to Be Popular". Now I've put together a top ten list of how to help you: -Elphie, everyday... shower. I mean, who knows? Maybe some of that green is gonna come off! -Deodorant Elphie. No body likes a stinky witch! -I think we've covered the hair, we'll get to that. -Clean underclothes. That's all I'm gonna say. -Look at your posture. That's no way to be popular! -Bed made, room straightened. We've done that. -Colors blended. Oookay. -But the most important thing to have, to make yourself popular, is to keep your beautiful smile." ~Kristin Chenoweth in her last performance of the song "Popular"

At the risk of having rocks thrown at me, am I the only one who is getting just a little tired of her cutesy poopsie routine? It's so contrived. I always feel like I am seeing an image that her PR people have created instead of the real person.

Okay, I'm ducking for cover now.

I actually agree with you Lovesclassics.

But at least on a talk show it's fresher than repeating it in the Theatre.

Talk show host love those poopsies.

Nahhh. The show was taped on Monday. I guess that's when Letterman records its Friday shows. The Apple Tree doesn't have any performances on Monday.
