Does anyone else think that this is a strange pairing?

I really can't picture them making a good onscreen married couple. Not only is there a 24 year age difference, but isn't this kind of like the "Big guy-hot wife" sitcom syndrome?

For one thing, they are both short...so aesthetically it's quite pleasing. Also, she's quite a comedic actress and of course Mr. DeVito is nothing but funny. So, what better combination for a Holiday movie? It may not make money, but it may be one of those holiday movies that play December on TBS for weeks at a time.

Sounds like the cast for a CBS sitcom. Or maybe she's supposed to be his trophy wife?

tiny as she is, she's still taller than danny. her peppiness might be a fun comedic contrast to his crankiness.

I agree that their comic styles might work very well together. But no one has a problem with the fact that there's 24 years between them?! I know it's cliche to say "He's old enough to be her father..." but in this case it's really true!

I don't know...Somehow this pairing just makes me go "Eww"

the age difference might be a point in the script. she may be a trophy wife or something.

if we can handle Divine and Sonny Bono as a couple, I think we can handle Danny D. and Cheno.

WELL..there's a 25 year age dif between Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones...so it isn't that unusual. I will say however, just because it's DeVito, it DOES have sort of an 'ick' factor.

who knows... it's a HOLIDAY MOVIE. maybe they were looking for "ewwww" or "trophy wife" or "strange guy/perky girl" or something. I'm not guessing this is set to be the box office hit of the year. Cheno - come back to Broadway, honey. Stop selling yourself short! [No pun intended; I'm 4'11 like her!]

I like how people think movies is selling yourself short. I really liked what she did in RV.

Sadly, the pairing looks like half the couples in the better restaurants in L.A.

It sounds good. The two of them will be very dynamic.

well..considering she probably makes for 1 movie the equivalent of an entire run in a Broadway show..I don't think she's selling herself short.

Kristin Chenoweth needs to be in family movies to get her name out before the general public. The studio and producers of the movie version of Wicked will be looking for a big name when they eventually make the film and will only consider her if she has film and TV credits under her belt. She is smart to take these movie roles.

she's done well in all the movies she's been in, but besides RV hasnt had many "huge" roles so this will be good for her :)

Wow she sure looks young for her age.
