Does anyone else think that this is a strange pairing?

I really can't picture them making a good onscreen married couple. Not only is there a 24 year age difference, but isn't this kind of like the "Big guy-hot wife" sitcom syndrome?

Posted: 5/8/06 at 12:31pmFor one thing, they are both short...so aesthetically it's quite pleasing. Also, she's quite a comedic actress and of course Mr. DeVito is nothing but funny. So, what better combination for a Holiday movie? It may not make money, but it may be one of those holiday movies that play December on TBS for weeks at a time.

I agree that their comic styles might work very well together. But no one has a problem with the fact that there's 24 years between them?! I know it's cliche to say "He's old enough to be her father..." but in this case it's really true!
I don't know...Somehow this pairing just makes me go "Eww"

Posted: 5/8/06 at 6:42pmWELL..there's a 25 year age dif between Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones...so it isn't that unusual. I will say however, just because it's DeVito, it DOES have sort of an 'ick' factor.

I'm not guessing this is set to be the box office hit of the year. Cheno - come back to Broadway, honey. Stop selling yourself short! [No pun intended; I'm 4'11 like her!]

The studio and producers of the movie version of Wicked will be looking for a big name when they eventually make the film and will only consider her if she has film and TV credits under her belt. She is smart to take these movie roles.
