SO JEALOUS. I think Megan is adorable and Julia is amazingly talented. Her vibrato is something so unusual and beautiful. I'd gladly not see Cheno to see Julia.

The concert was great, I'm glad I went. I agree with Schmerg_The_Impaler. Murney performed circles around Hilty. While they both were good, Murney definetly took control over the show. Hilty sounded great but didn't put alot into it, other than a pretty voice. She was almost a different performer and sound when doing duets and Wicked songs.
I would see them in concert again, maybe give Megan a few years to grow into solo performing.

I don't really "get" Hilty, but Julia is one of my favorites. Glad you went!

not that it really should matter but I know Murney has her fair share of concert work both in town and out where as I don't know if Hilty has?

From a comment she made, it does seem that Ms. Hilty has not had the concert experience that Ms. Murney has, especially in that kind of setting. This undoubtedly affected the comfort level of each of them in front of the crowd.

It also may come down to the type of performer. Ms. Hilty seems to approach each song as a song. If she has a character to attach to it, as she did with the Wicked tunes, then she acts. Otherwise she just sings -- not saying that's a bad thing. In contrast, Ms. Murney approaches each song as a new character. She acts through song.

I wouldn't have minded seeing those 2 in place if Chenoweth so glad you enjoyed the concert!
