Posted: 8/19/04 at 11:24amI just read that Kristin is putting out a new CD in march - I listened to a few song clips from her first CD on amazon and wasn't too impressed, even though I thought she was a great Galinda in Wicked. Any reviews of her first CD to share so I can decide if I should get it? Thanks!

Her debut is fantastic.
You have to appreciate the classics to enjoy her cd. It isn't Broadway fluff...it's the true classics.

Posted: 8/19/04 at 11:31amIt's some standards - a lot of belt - if you're more a fan of her classical/operatic voice, like I am, it's not for you. I was disappointed.

Posted: 8/19/04 at 11:55ami have to say that on amazon it only clipped the part of the song that is boring. There are a lot of great songs on her first cd and its shows her great range. Forget about the clips! Buy it!

If I am correct, this is going to be an inspirational album. Kristin is a big fan of Sandy Patti's music, so I am hoping she will include some similar songs. Let me tell you, Kristin can "out Sandy Patti, Sandy Patti!"
Kristin sang "They Could Not" on Easter Sunday two years ago at my church. It was a moment I will never forget. Her faith and talent combined to make one of the most worshipful services I have ever experienced.
I am so excited about this album.

Posted: 8/20/04 at 12:37amWell Kristin will be singing at OCU (her alma mater) next week. She is doing a benefit, I will be there. If she sings new stuff from her upcoming album, I will let you know what I think. Also I will be at the Carnegie Hall concert! I will be sure to post about both!
