woops
sorry
:P
thanks boxers
This is SO EXCITING!!!
So wonderful.
I'm thrilled to see Chenoweth play something other than Chenoweth. THE APPLE TREE is a fantastic show with a fantastic score, and I can't wait to see a true production of it.
Hopefully there won't be 14,000 fangirls to battle with when getting tickets. When they go on sale, I'm going to get them early.
Hell, with McDonald also in the season, I may just subscribe to Roundabout to save myself the ticket grief.
110, I cannot wait for
I am not a crazy Kristin fan girl, but glad she is coming back on Broadway. I agree with the others that this is good that it is a limited run. For better or worse, I don't think its likely she would commit to much more than that based on her consistent move to more of a Hollywood scence.
I have had the OBCR for a few years and am looking forward to trying to catch this show- even if she is out.

I now know what I'm doing this holiday season!!! I wonder who's conducting since Rob Fisher is out of the question? I also wonder if this means there will be a new cast recording of this show. Cheno's lovely version of "What Makes Me Love Him" and humerous version of "Oh, to Be a Movie Star" NEED to be preserved on CD.
Maybe we'll get an Apple Tree recording with Kristin now!!!

Awesome! My theater company is actually doing The Apple Tree right now, we perform it in January. But this is really good news. Good for Kristin. Hope we get a recording!

When is Young Frankenstein going to open? Isn't she supposed to be doing that as well?
I don't have any insider knowledge, but I wonder if Malcolm Gets is already committed to Terrence McNally's "Some Men," which is supposed to run Off-Broadway around the same time. He was in the world premiere cast this past spring (although so was Barbara Walsh, so what do I know?).
Oh! So exciting!

Exciting news indeed. This'll definately be on my list for January!
Yay!
"I am gorgeus"
That's such exciting news. I will definately be getting tickets for this in January. I wonder if a press release will be out soon.

Just to get a jump on all the questions, what's seating like at Studio 54? Are the cheap seats awful? I have a feeling there won't be many discounts for this one, and I'd love to see it when I go to NY in December.
Just like I'd love to see everything else.
how bad can it be when there's a total of 900 seats?

For Threepenny, the last two rows were amazing seats. I'd be happy with any seat there.
I am so excited about this. I had heard about it on here when Kristin performed with Cerveris and Gets and wanted to see it. Luckily I will be in NYC during the time that it will be on. Also, when do you believe that the tickets will go on sale?
I just want to say that I think this is a really stupid thread before we have actaully seen any of the shows, remember when we all thought that Chitty would be such a hit and Esparza would win the tony? I have no problem speculating on the TONY's but after the shows have opened.

Go Cheno!
YAY. I know this will be great.
Saw the York revival of this back in the mid-'80s. It's a much better show "on its feet" than it is just listening to the cast recording or reading the script.
Kristin is a perfect choice for the lead, too.
But it's a "small" show... along the lines of Little Shop. It would get swallowed up inside one of the big Broadway "barns." I'm glad they won't try to pump it up on steroids and add a chorus of 50 and hydraulic sets, or something unnecessary like that.
