There seems to be billboards all over NY and flyers and stuff just wonderin' what the fuss was.They even have a magazine and flyers on Delta airlines.

Never remember having flyers for a broadway show being shoved in my face before .I live in Europe and normally that doesn't happen.

France and England-live in england,work in France .Also got flyers in Germany 3 weeks ago and one in my telephone bill in June.

I have NEVER seen Chicago the musical. Ever. What's it about again? (and of course that's said with the straightest face I can possibly muster....)

Charlotte d'Amboise is coming in as Roxie (YES!!!) and Reva Rice is coming in as Velma. They'll run till December 7th. (Melanie's final is this Sunday -- the 5th)
Roxane will be out of the company for West Side Story at NSMT October 28th - November 23. Her last performance in Chicago is this coming Sunday and she will return to the company on December 1st.
I'm a little thrilled to be seeing her in something that's not Chicago

Maybe they are promoting the dvd release or something of the movie? Maybe they feel that it is tourist season for Chicago.
Also for a while they had CHICAGO drinks at our airport to promote the film

No.they weren't promoting the film because they were promoting the Broadway show with Melanie Griffith and she wasn't in the movie.
